I called several times to have it changed since I had never had a complaint and had all necessary licenses. After months of phone calls-I discovered something suspicious. William (Bill) Mitchell president of the BBB was also on the Board of Directors of Springboard Financial ( Credit Counseling/debt repair/credit repair). Amazing-they had an A+ rating and every competitor had an F rating. Obviously my business has sufferd ever since I received the new rating. Bill Mitchell is a greedy crook and the last person that should be president of the BBB at 400K + salary. Anybody know of a class action lawsuit? We have a community management (CMG Charleston SC) group that advertised they were a member of the BBB but I emailed BBB and found out they were not, the community management company also have complaints.......Well well 3 months later they are a member and have ZERO complaints..... BBB what a joke they used to be a good gauge but we no longer have ANY respect for them. BBB is a bunch of #$%^&. They promoted a home builder that did shoddy work, they could not care less what they do to people's lives. The buidler, legend Homes Houston 9one of several shell names) had the number 1 and 2 highest foreclosure rate in Houston a few years back and no one sought to investigate them. Had a dispute with a contractor. I spent loads of time providing the Connecticut BBB documentation and in the end it was a waste of my time. The business that I had a dispute with replies via the the BBB were downright nasty, insulting and rude-no customer should ever be treated that way. And yet the BBB couldn't see that there was a problem. I can not say I'll ever 'trust' the Better Business Bureau again. Their loyalty is to their paying customer's 'businesses' and not consumers.
